The year was 2025 and Benjamin Hightower, a veteran Air Force member, performed Chappell Roan’s 2020 single, Pink Pony Club to a packed audience during his appearance at America’s Got Talent.
He gave it his own flair, he knew what the audiences wanted, and above all, Hightower showed passion while singing.
At the end, he got a standing ovation, even from the judges and was told by Howie Mendel that his rendition of the song “could also be a hit.” Simon Cowell even praised it, saying he “loved” his version.
